Description
FEATURED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF FINE ART AMERICA
Sepia-tint closeup of a thick bramble of branches and twigs, tied back with rawhide, found along a Texas gravel road leading to a homestead. This serves as an example of a shrub–photinia or ligustrum I would guess--that needed to be hand-trimmed rather than tied. I hope it will be happy to know that I have turned it into a piece of art for your walls or lifestyle.
The word brambles usually refers to plants in the rose family, with thorns, including blackberries, elderberries, and dewberries. I’m not ruling them out, but I don’t see thorns here. So I’m using the word brambles in its broader meaning: an untamed tangle of growth. This is pretty brambly.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
