Two beautiful Poplar Hawk-Moth, Laothoe populi, butterflies taken in macro copulating and mating in nature. To view mate these two butterflies is quite rare. The poplar hawk-moth (Laothoe populi) is a moth, butterfly of the family Sphingidae. It is found throughout the Palearctic region and the Near East. Insect is placed on green bush, lavender plant stem.
