Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

on Driftwood Beach
at dawn...
The tide was going out
and the waves,
captured
in a long two minute exposure
about 40 minutes before sun-up,
melt into a beautiful misty softness.
This huge oak tree
lays in the salty sea,
fallen in a storm surge years ago,
a beautiful sentinel watching
as the surf comes and goes
and waves crest it's long limbs
and gnarled branches.
The wood of the trunk
is being carved smooth
by the tides
as this gorgeous oak lies
in the wet sand.
This is such an interesting spot
and a photographer's delight!
