Illusion Of A Tree Fractal

I have been taking my regular photographs and experimenting with gimp art as well as other various computer programs to create some interesting pictures. Gimp art is especially good. I really like this one. It was a close-up photo taken of tree branches and first traced with a fractal. An illusion was added in the background. It is so fun to see a regular picture transformed into something different with a little digital manipulation

My Last Trip To The Seacoast

This is my first blog on Fine Art. I have blogged before and I really do enjoy it, although not as much as photography. I have recently gone back to sketching as well, but I haven't done that since I was a kid, so I'm not ready to show off anything just yet. Just focusing on my photos for now, and what I have mostly been working on is my photography from Oak Island in North Carolina. I had a few nights down there that were overcast, but that was alright as I had never experienced a little stormy weather on the seacoast and I was completely in awe. This was in October of last year. We rented a beach house from Oak Island Accomodations which I would recommend, especially if you are going off season, you will find a very good deal. I live in Kentucky, but my heart has always felt attached to the seacoast. The last night we spent we had a beautiful sunset along the coast. I took several pictures. The whole scene could have been painted, for the way that it looked that night and I never forgot it. I think this image was my best one.

I lived in North Carolina once and have fantasized of one day returning there, only next time to be closer to the water, either along the Outer Banks or the southern area, such as Oak Island. I have been keeping up with that newstory on the gulf oil spill. It really infuriates me and seeing the birds on coast the way they are. My fear is that it will work its way into the Atlantic. People have so much to answer for! But, I guese, you should never think that any certain place will always be safe as it will not. Well, sorry to get on that note, but it all brought up my last trip to the coast and how beautiful I remember it was. I am going to continue with some of my other pictures from that trip and other subjects as well. I hope to do more blogs
